JIM AND TRACY'S COUNTRY BREAD
This is a recipe we developed. It is a dense, moist, flavorful
bread.
We make our bread in two different machines. One requires
wet ingredients first, then dry. The other machine is opposite.
Please use the order that your particular machine requires.
The other important aspect of these recipes is that you keep
the dry milk away from the liquid if you are going to use
the timer like we do
OSTER BREAD MAKER (or other bread makers that require wet
ingredients first):Follow exact order of ingredients 12 oz.
warm water 3 tbsp. (packs) of melted butter 4 cups of flour
(cover liquids completely with flour if using delayed timer)
1 cup powdered milk 2 tsp. salt 3 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. yeast.
PANASONIC BREAD MACHINE (or other bread makers that require
dry ingredients first) Follow exact order of ingredients 1
tsp. yeast 2 tsp. salt 2 1/2 tbsp. sugar 1 cup powdered milk
3 cup flour (make sure to cover powdered milk with flour if
using delayed timer) 10 oz. Warm water 3 tbsp. melted butter
PROCEDURE Place ingredients in bread maker in exact order.
Keep on basic white setting. Bake bread (we use timer so it
comes out hot in the morning). Brush outside of bread with
melted butter. Slice and enjoy. If you don't finish the loaf,
then wrap it in a tea towel and then put in a plastic bag.
Stays fresh for days.
